Root canal therapy is a procedure that serves as a prophylactic approach to save a tooth from suffering damage that is intended to be permanent. A tooth's health and strength may be restored by the process of root canal treatment, which aims to remove affected dental pulp and eliminate the infection. Each tooth contains dental pulp, which is an important component since it is responsible for supplying your teeth with nutrients.
It is possible that you may need root canal treatment if you are having symptoms that are associated with an infected pulp. By drilling through the tooth enamel and into the pulp chamber, it is possible to successfully remove the pulp that has been decayed throughout the tooth. Following the removal of the pulp, the tooth is then either covered with a dental crown, filled with porcelain or tooth-colored fillings, or sealed with teeth made of gold.
