When a tooth is extremely infected and there is no other viable alternative available to treat the illness, it may be necessary to remove the tooth. There are occasions when a tooth that is severely infected might cause your oral condition to be sensitive to experiencing a great deal of pain and suffering. In the event that a tooth has sustained damage that cannot be repaired, extraction may be necessary in order to prevent infection. If it is allowed to continue to grow, the infection may ultimately put the health of the gums and teeth that are next to it at danger, and it may also cause teeth to progressively fall out.
It is possible that extraction of impacted third molars, often known as wisdom teeth, will become necessary if their development is irregular. An example of this would be when wisdom teeth come out of the mouth in a sideways position rather than coming out in a straight line. In some cases, teeth may be extracted in order to facilitate the placement of dentures and orthodontic appliances, or to prevent the teeth from becoming misaligned. It is our mission at Aviva Dental to carry out the treatment in a manner that ensures the highest level of comfort and safety for you, which includes the administration of sedatives to alleviate any anxiety you may be experiencing.
